Yeom Hae-sang hails from a wealthy family. He is a Korean folklore professor at a university and possesses a rare ability to see demons in this world since he was a young child. When he was little, he even witnessed his mother being murdered by a demon in front of him. Yeom Hae-sang encounters Ku San-young and confronts the devil responsible for his mother's death.

Lieutenant Lee Hong-sae works for the unit that looks into violent crimes. He is primarily interested in developing his police department career. He becomes embroiled in enigmatic cases as a result of Ku San-young and Yeom Hae-sang.
